Landscape Management Staff

DAVE ARNOLD (General Manager) - Dave has served Springfield Nursery clients since 1979 and has been managing our Chemical Department for more than fifteen seasons. He is Certified and Licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia for pesticide/herbicide application and has an extensive knowledge of products used in the landscape industry. He is responsible for hiring and training personnel that will handle and apply chemicals for our clients, monitoring sites and scheduling treatments as necessary. In addition, he coordinates scheduling and completion of all contracted turf services (nutrition, weed control, lime, aeration/seeding) for all properties serviced by Springfield Nursery as well as supervising facility, vehicle and equipment management.

CINDI FERENTINOS (Vice President - Administration) - Cindi is responsible for contract administration and communication with all clients and managers. She works closely with the operations staff to ensure contract compliance and to address any client questions regarding contractual matters and work status. She meets with clients and managers as necessary to review on-site work and contractual matters, assists in the identification of priority projects and maintains client relationships. Cindi has been a member of the Springfield Nursery team since 1989, with more than 30 years of experience in contract administration and customer service.

BENJAMIN IRAHETA (Chemical Division Crew Leader) - Benjamin has been involved with Springfield Nursery contracts for nearly ten years and serves as a crew leader in the application of various herbicides and pesticides used for both turf and ornamental plant pest, disease and weed control. Benny routinely inspects properties to identify target pest and weed areas and helps to ensure that necessary treatments are effectively completed. He is a certified applicator and his experience and knowledge of pesticide and herbicide products enables our staff to respond effectively to the needs of our clients.

JAVIER CASTRO (Crew Manager) - Javier is responsible for the scheduling, equipment/staff coordination and supervision of all contracted mowing, edging, bed preparation and mulching activities performed by our crews. He assists with routine site inspections and serves as the liaison between the contract administration staff and the crew foremen. Javier makes certain that client requests and concerns receive appropriate crew attention and that contract and extra work status is properly coordinated and reported. He also provides support and scheduling of special projects and programs offered during the maintenance season.

In addition to this dedicated management team, we are proud of our ability to retain long-term crew foreman relationships. Most of our crew foremen (more than fourteen of them) have served Springfield Nursery clients for nearly ten years, with several exceeding that tenure. Our labor force consists of seasonal workers who typically return to us every year. This consistency contributes greatly to our extensive site knowledge and familiarity.

Our Mechanical Services Division is staffed by long-term team members who support our operations by ensuring our extensive inventory of equipment, vehicles and trailers is properly serviced, maintained and repaired. The mechanical services staff has the skills, knowledge and ability to efficiently perform all necessary service and repairs, both on-site and off-site.
